Eligibility Criteria for SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2019

  • Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must either be: (a) A citizen of India or (b) A subject of Nepal or (c) A subject of Bhutan or (d) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India, before the 01st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

Age Limit

  • The Crucial Date for determining the possession of ‘Age & Essential Qualification (EQs)/Experience’ will be the closing date for filling up Registration Part/Application part of the application i.e. 01st August 2019
  • Before applying for the post, the candidates must ensure that they possess the ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS including Experience wherever it is prescribed as Essential Qualification and meet the Age Limit as on the crucial date

Relaxation in Upper Age-Limit

  • Relaxation in upper Age-limit admissible to eligible categories of applicants is given below:
  • For Group -“B” & Group -“C” Posts
  • SC: 5 years
  • ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwD:10 years
  • PWD (OBC): 13 years
  • PWD (SC): 15 years
  • PWD (ST): 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (Unreserved/General): 03 years after deduction of the military service
  • Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 05years (3 years+3 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen (SC): 08 years (3 years+5 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen (ST): 08 years (3 years+5 years)

 

For Group “C” Posts

  • (i) Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Unreserved / General) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service – 5 years [Up to 40 years of age]
  • (ii) Central Govt. Civilian Employees (OBC) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application – 08 (5+3) years
  • (iii) Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular – 10 (5+5) years

For Group “C” Posts

  • Central Government Civilian Employees (Unreserved / General) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date = Upto 40 years of age
  • Central Government Civilian Employees (OBC) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date = Upto 43 years of age
  • Central Government Civilian Employees (SC) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date = Upto 45 years of age
  • Central Government Civilian Employees (ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date = Upto 45 years of age
  • Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (Unreserved/ General) = Upto 35 years of age

 

Selection Procedure for SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2019

  • The Govt. has dispensed with Interviews for Junior Level Posts. Accordingly, recruitment to Selection Posts will be made through Written Examination in Computer Based Mode consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Computer Based Exam based on the percentage of marks in Essential Qualifications as indicated by them in their application. Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:50, i.e. 50 candidates for every vacancy, subject to availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates
  • Candidates will be shortlisted by applying suitable cut off in the percentage of marks, in multiples of five. The number of candidates shortlisted may be slightly more or less due to the criteria of applying cut off in multiples of five
  • The criteria followed by the Commission in shortlisting candidates will be final. No appeal or representation will be entertained against such Shortlisting criteria

 

Scheme of Examination

  • There will be three separate Computer Based Examinations consisting of Objective/Multiple Choice Questions, for posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation & above levels
  • The details of subjects for Questions, marks and number of Questions subject-wise are given below:
  • (i) General Intelligence – 25 questions & 50 Maximum marks
  •  (ii) English Language (Basic Knowledge) – 25 questions & 50 Maximum marks
  • Total Duration/Timing: 60 minutes
  • (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) – 25 questions & 50 Maximum marks
  • (iv) General Awareness – 25 questions & 50 Maximum marks
  • For VH/OH (afflicted by Cerebral Palsy and locomotor disability wherein the dominant writing extremity is affected to the extent of slowing down the performance of the candidates) – 80 Minutes
  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
  • For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps/ Graphs/ Diagrams/ Statistical Data in the General Intelligence/ Quantitative Aptitude subjects
  • Skill Tests like Typing/ Data Entry/ Computer Proficiency Test, etc., where prescribed in the Essential Qualification, will be conducted, which will be of a qualifying nature

 

SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2019 Application Form

  • To apply for Selection Posts, candidates are required to register themselves on https://ssconline.nic.in
  • Candidates may register once and can apply for any Recruitment Examination advertised by SSC
  • Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Selection Posts indicated in Annexure-III of this Notice. Only those Applications which are successfully filled through the Website of the Commission and found in order shall be accepted
  • Candidates should go through the Recruitment Notice carefully before applying for the post and ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions like Age-Limit/ Essential Qualifications (EQs)/ Experience/ Category, etc. as indicated in this Notice. Candidature of candidates not meeting the eligibility conditions will be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process without any notice. Candidature of Applicants shall be purely PROVISIONAL at all stages of the recruitment process.
  • All information relating to this recruitment right from the status of application up to the nomination of the selected candidates to the User Department including call letters for the Computer Based Examination to the provisionally eligible candidates will be available on the website of Staff Selection Commission i.e. https://ssc.nic.in and the websites of the Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission.

 

Application Fee

  • Fee payable Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee
  • Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 02nd September 2019 (5.00 PM). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 04th September 2019 provided the challan has been generated by them before 02nd September 2019 (5.00 PM).

 

Important Dates for SSC Selection Post Recruitment 2019

  • Dates for Submission of Online Applications: 06th August 2019 to 31st August 2019
  • Last Date for Receipt of Application Form: 31st August 2019 (up to 5.00 P.M.)
  • Last Date for making online fee Payment: 02nd September 2019 (5.00 PM)
  • Last Date for Generation of Offline Challan: 02nd September 2019 (5.00 PM)
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 04th September 2019
  • Date of Computer Based Examination: 14th October to 18th October 2019
